Topaz
Topaz is
found in various colors; from pale pink to sherry red and from
blue to greenish-blue to emerald green. Imperial Topaz, the
most valuable member of the Topaz family, can be a beautiful
amber-gold color, a soft peach or a brilliant cognac. Ancient
Egyptians believed that Topaz was a powerful amulet against
evil. It has also been known to improve eyesight, as well as
insomnia and asthma. Topaz is the birthstone for November. Today
Topaz is found in Brazil, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Russia.
